Lew Rubens presents “Dream Capture”

This is not a classic shibari image.  Lew Rubens (from Orlando, Florida) used his shibari rigging skills to encapsulate and suspend his pretty model in a circular web of rope.  Peter Claver (from Toronto, Canada) did an excellent job of photographing the pose.  This is another example of people from all over the world having fun with shibari and pushing the envelope on contemporary shibari art.

The Art of Contemporary Shibari Exhibit at the Fotofest 2012 Biennial will feature works by exceptional shibari riggers and photographers from around the world as well as the United States.

A print of this gorgeous image is one of several that will be displayed and offered for sale by the talented shibari artist and photographer, Lew Rubens, from Orlando, Florida.

Here are other images Lew Rubens will display at the the exhibit. You can see images that will be displayed by the other world class shibari artists and photographers here.

Amazing art. I love Native American dream catchers and this dream catcher has caught not only a beautiful model but the dreams of a great artist!
